I have always believed that as a community we have a responsibility to take care of our own, especially those with physical and developmental disabilities. I have been involved in our community since I first immigrated to this country over twenty-five years ago and its something I remain committed to.
Work from one of the projects I’m most proud of makes up most the pictures on the first slide below. In 1999, my nonprofit, with help from many volunteers, quite literally built a new home for the developmentally disabled from the ground up.
I also chose to share some photos of other work I’ve done with community groups and community leaders through the years.
